Track Name: Wichita Bound
I had me the mind of a foul-mood adolescent
For thirty years come and gone
I pity the poor fool stuck on the day shift
When I'd come on
I quit caffeine, bought a cartload of crystals,
And none of it set my spirit free
I even gave every pair of my skinny black jeans
To the DAV
I'm going someplace that's no place particular
Betting lost will be found
I'm rolling right into relief
Now that I'm Wichita bound

Back in Boulder each one of my bad, bad habits
Was as stable as a tree trunk
I'd take any pill that would promise
To disperse my foggy funk
I'm out of that apartment complex
That felt like a dog pound
It's flat land, straight roads, and blue skies
Now that I'm Wichita bound

It's too many miserable minutes
I've spent being too tightly wound
I'll kick off this coil around me
Now that I'm Wichita bound

So let my nondescript life defy any description
Let me go completely when I'm gone
Write me off of that obituary column
That soon enough's bound to come on
It might have seemed a bit quick
For a too-big decision
But there was no sense in sticking around
I'll spend my evenings with crickets and fireflies
Now that I'm Wichita bound
